Project Bundle with Standard Subscription

Our custom carbon offset portfolio was contructed to ensure overall balance and reduce risks assoicated with project or segment over-exposure. Our approach ensures additionality, offers broader environmental and social benefits by targeting different emissions sources, and supports various communities all at once. Additionally, our diversification allows for adaptability to changing conditions and a balance of short-term and long-term carbon offset gains.

Wind Power Project in Maharashtra, India - Andhra Lake

Weight: 8.25%

Located Andhra Lake, in the western Indian State of Maharashtra, this project involves the installation and operation of 63 wind turbines that generate green electricity. Displacing energy created through the burning of fossil fuels, the project both reduces global greenhouse gas emissions and boosts the country’s transition towards a low-carbon economy

Longyuan Mulilo De Aar 2 North Wind Energy Facility

Weight: 8.25%

The Longyuan Mulilo De Aar 2 North Wind Energy Facility project is located in the Northern Cape Province and supplies wind-generated electricity to the Republic of South Africa’s national grid. The South African energy system is dominate by coal-fired power plants and carbon credits will be generated by a reduction of CO2 emissions from combustion of fossil fuel at the existing grid-connected powered plants and plants which would likely be built in the absence of the project.

Hunan Xiangtan Landfill Gas Power Generation

Weight: 8.25%

Located in the province of Hunan in China, this project aims to treat methane emissions, derived from landfill sites, that would be released to the atmosphere. By converting the emissions into electricity the project supplies energy to the national grid which powers households and businesses across the region

Landfill Management

Oeste de Caucaia Landfill Gas Capture

Weight: 8.25%

The primary objective of the Oeste de Caucaia Landfill Project Activity is to avoid greenhouse gases emission by the Oeste de Caucaia Landfill through landfill gas capture, purification and injection in a distribution grid, while contributing to the environmental, social and economic sustainability by minimizing global climate changes and local air pollution. The proposed Project Activity consists of capturing the landfill gas (LFG) generated by the landfill using an active LFG capture system and injecting it into a natural gas distribution network (after a purification process), displacing the use of natural gas.

Advanced Refrigeration CAN - ARS 003C

Weight: 24%

The Project Activity is the transition from high-GWP refrigerants to a low-GWP refrigerant in stand-alone commercial refrigeration units manufactured.

The units are all newly manufactured and assembled on a production line at the facilities and were previously manufactured with high-GWP refrigerants. Refrigerant is injected into the unit during this process using a high-pressure delivery system and then sealed within the unit.

Foam Blowing Agent Project 002F

Weight: 16.5%

This project offsets the GHG emissions that would be produced by the manufacturing and use of foams with HFC blowing agents, through their replacement with environmentally friendly alternatives. The process has the added benefit of utilizing recycled plastics and reducing utility bills through reduced energy consumption in new builds or retrofits of existing buildings.

Afforestation for Forestal San Pedro

Weight: 16.5%

Forestal San Pedro is a FSC certified (FSC C169494) reforestation project carried out on formerly degraded cattle ranching land in eastern Paraguay. Commercial tree species are planted on land deforested decades ago and converted into pastures or commercial agriculture. The tree component enables addition income to be earned through sustainable timber production and carbon credits. The FSC certification brings about a credible mechanism to ensure that no indigenous trees are cut to make way for the plantation and appropriate safeguards are in place to protect water and biodiversity in the area.

Our Screening Criteria

Additionality: Our chosen projects must unequivocally demonstrate that carbon reductions would not occur without our offset investment. We ensure that projects, especially in renewable energy, are dependent on our funding to be viable, thus guaranteeing additional environmental benefits.

Permanence: We prioritize projects where the carbon offset benefits are durable and enduring. This is particularly crucial in reforestation or afforestation initiatives, where we guarantee that the trees are protected for decades, and in technology-based projects, ensuring long-term carbon reduction.

Quantification: The emission reductions of our projects are measured using transparent, scientifically robust methodologies. We adhere to established protocols and require third-party verifications to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Leakage: We are vigilant in ensuring that our projects do not inadvertently increase emissions in other areas. For instance, our forest conservation efforts are designed to prevent any increase in logging activities elsewhere.

Co-benefits: We seek out projects that offer additional environmental or social benefits, such as biodiversity conservation, air and water quality improvement, and local community empowerment.

Transparency and Reporting: Each project under our portfolio is obligated to maintain transparent reporting, providing regular updates on progress and impacts. This transparency extends to methodologies, funding sources, and outcomes.

Community Involvement: Our projects actively involve local communities in their planning and execution, fostering more sustainable and successful outcomes that align with local development needs.

Certification and Standards Compliance: We only invest in projects that comply with internationally recognized standards like the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard, or the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), ensuring environmental integrity and social responsibility.

Scalability and Replicability: We favor projects that have the potential to be scaled up or replicated, contributing to broader emission reduction efforts beyond their immediate implementation area.

Registry: Offsets as part of this bundle are either registered by Verra, American Carbon, Gold Standard registries to ensure maximum verification and prevention of emissions reduction double-counting.
