In the expansive landscapes of Wengniute County in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Chifeng Sunjiaying Wind Power Project stands as a significant initiative in harnessing the power of wind. Known simply as the project, it showcases a commitment to renewable energy in one of China’s most dynamic regions.
This project features an impressive assembly of 66 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 750 kW (Goldwind S48/750kW), together offering a substantial total capacity of 49.5 MW. The impact of this installation is notable – an estimated annual power supply of 107,950 MW, highlighting its efficiency and scale.
Beyond electricity generation, the project plays a critical role in environmental conservation. It’s expected to achieve a reduction of 123,699 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change. The project serves not only as a powerhouse for the Northeast China Power Grid (NEPG) but also as a symbol of sustainable development.
With the Chifeng Sunjiaying Wind Power Project, Inner Mongolia demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to energy production, prioritizing both efficiency and ecological responsibility.
